EZTRAK Z255 Mulching Blades

Hi, I just purchased this mower an was disappointed it didn't have an automatic mulching feature built-in. My bad for not looking into this ahead of time but I just assumed it had this feature....

Anyways, I tried purchasing the mulching cover but it obviously doesn't help with cut the grass up smaller/finer.

I'm looking to buy the best mulching blades on the market for this mover. Therefore, 2 questions:

1) Am I restricted to only using "mulching blades" that John Deere provides?
2) If not, can you provide recommendations to what blades I could replace the factory blades with that will chop the grass clippings up as fine as possible?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks Keith. Any recommendation to ensuring I order the correct size? I tried searching by comparison to the JD blade (AM141035) but to no avail. Thanks.

According to JD Parts the AM141035 is the Mower Blade Kit (Blades, Nuts, and Washers).
I think the stock blade is a GX21784 to be used with the AM141035 kit.
An optional blade GX21785 is to be used with the AM141036 kit.

pooleman13,
Give one of these guys a call they should be able to help you out, they are both members here on GTT. They can be found in the Vendor section of the forum.
Your dealer was of no help?

I know this thread is old, but in case anyone was wondering the G5 Gator Blade part number is 592-616 (for the Z255). Just picked up a set on Amazon for $43.
