I have a 1995 JD345 with just over 1,100 hours. After repairing what appeared to be a leaking head gasket I discovered the thermostat side head (Part# M140540) has actually developed a small hole from coolant passage to exhaust port. Repairs have been futile and I’m in need of a new (at least to me) head. They are no longer being made and no one has anything left in their stock to sell. Will the heads off a FD611V fit this engine? Does anyone have other Kawasaki part numbers to search for? Does anyone have a head they are willing to sell? Any help at all is appreciated!

Yes.....but you would need to replace both heads and my understanding is that you would need an intake off the FD611V as well. And perhaps the govenor/throttle control plate, carb linkages, etc. Not sure, but I would think the muffler is the same.

On the plus side, you'll have an FD611V with 2 more horse power.

Looks like you can get the head from Kawasaki - I'll call to double check fit but...Kawasaki 110082133 HEAD COMP CYLINDER - Jacks Small Engines
