Been wondering whether the quick hitch brackets can stay on the tractor when the FEL is on or if they have to be unbolted and removed. How involved is it to change from FEL to say a front blade or snow blower?

What tractor are you asking about?

The front quick hitch brackets did not bolt on to any of the John Deere tractors that I have owned.
The brackets all attached with pins & had to be removed to install the loader.
It only took a few minutes to change from one to the other.

You do have to take bracket off but it is quite simple......I can change from blower to fel in 5 to 10 minutes either way. Could do it quicker if I had a nice garage floor to work on which I don't. Northern Maine has been a bugger for weather all year.

Thanks. None of the dealers have any but FEL's on the lots and when you ask ?'s like these you often get vague answers. I like to actually see how things work so this search for a new tractor has been a bit trying at times.

The tractors you look at on the dealer lot with mower decks, will have bolt on brackets.

The front quick hitch package, if the dealer orders it correctly, will come with a pin on bracket that replaces the bolt on brackets.
