I don't have a need for the 8-piece kit, considering half of it is already installed on my new X739.
Then I found the (JD Part number) PLUGKIT1 at GreenPartStore.com
Along with that the caps and/or plugs can be purchased individually. Corresponding numbers are referenced for your convenience.

I have never understood where silver came from. The hydraulic ports are black, yellow, blue and red.

It's apparently a "Deere" thing.
I don't want to re-invent the wheel.

I had to laugh, dumbfoundedly.
I inquired at two Deere dealers (parts counters) the other day, about hydraulic fittings. I was dumbfounded at the "what is it going on" mentality so a number could be referenced. I was shooting from the hip "custom" but in the process was assembling using the same fittings found on the plow lift cylinders.

Then I started talking Parker, since Parker in the main supplier of most everything related to hydraulic hose.
The next thing I knew a Parker catalog was put on the counter that was never used. And they had no clue how to look anything up.
But hey, they got the book!!

Next I went to the hydraulic shop. I was in and out with what I needed, quicker than a drive-up coffee stand

You are probably right. I removed the silver from my 2720 and replaced it with the appropriately colored cap so now it matches the connections on my loader and snow blower.

Probably before any standardization. My 245 loader on my 2030 had silver. I changed it to match current colors.

There are also Red, Orange, and Blue. Any numbers for those? I was thinking last time I looked, you were directed to buy the kit.

Screw Deere. I bought all new ones from Kenny, on my finally ordered hook order, along with the colored zip ties. I'm thinking Ken's stuff is better quality anyway, a a little cheaper price.
