Well I have had a few issues with my 835M

1. Seal on front axle leaking
2. Rear box won't lift - powered box
3. Wouldn't start

First I want to say this machine has been great, glad I bought it. Sloan Equipment has been great, they will come pick up the vehicle (60 miles away) and take care of problems.

Dealer is fixing issues
1. Seals are being replaced now
2. Connection at lift mechanism came loose - fixed
3. Main Ground wire came loose from connector - fixed

Just wanted to let you guys know if you have the same issues. Overall great vehicle, would buy again.

did ur front window quit creaking or didn't u say it did creak any at all:unknown:

mine does it some days and some days doesn't make a sound then:banghead:

is ur doors still staying sealed good? some days i get a good amount of air coming in from around where the hinge is located at outside. i have not yet purchased some of that rubber seal cream:laugh: u mentioned a while back. 3M something:dunno:i know the glue they make for the door seals is good stuff, as i used it on my 2000 chevy pickup doors way back.

glad ur dealer picked it up and got ya going again.:bigthumb:

Front window makes some noise, especially when cold, told dealer to look at that. Doors are fine, sometimes I open window to close door since it is so tight.

Bought 303 for seals on windshield but haven't use it yet, supposed to be warm next week, will try that when I get the gator back.

Really like my dual purpose work lights, 2 rows of lights on one unit. Have hazard and work lights on 2 separate switches.

I am considering the extended warranty for the Gator, I just don't want to crawl around on the ground trying to figure things out anymore. I should of found the loose wire on the lift, but didn't care to crawl under the machine to look for it.

I really like the Gator, so a few issues isn't a problem if you have a good dealer to rely on.

Talked to my dealer today, input shaft on front differential was not machined correctly causing my seal to leak. They are now checking with deere to see whether it is more cost effective to replace entire differential instead of repairing this one. So might be receiving a new differential. Oh well things happen, at least I have a good dealer at Sloan's to get it fixed properly.

This is for my 835M Gator.

John Deere is rebuilding my front differential, the shaft was not polished so seal wore out. Anyone with a 835, you need to watch your front axles where drive shaft comes in for leakage. I noticed mine leaking on the garage floor.

I am glad they are rebuilding, I least I will know it is done right. I might get it back by Friday.

Will keep you up to date on progress.

Any questions on Gators , just ask the new resident expert Big Jim . :mocking: By the way he has a full cab , while others hurl their family down the road with part of a windshield and a roof ? :flag_of_truce:Kevin .
:hornets::lolol:i like that .
,.....................................................................

628SCF---for now i have no oil leaks on my garage floor. i bought the bigger guards for over the cv boots. my saleslady sent me pics to review, to see if my bigger guards are hitting things. :dunno:i can't make heads or tails out of the pics.

i asked my saleslady if jd would just send her the newer revised guards:dunno:she said nope-not until they seen them.:nunu::banghead:

but my gator is in the serial number to be replaced:banghead:so in January i'm hauling it down, let the one mechanic look at it, if it needs the new revised ones, then i asked her to overnight them in for the next day-or they could haul it back to me when they show up. she kinda ..................agreed to that once................but maybe not then:unknown:i'm not to worried about it for now. she did order the new wiring harness for my snowplow for now. that will get fixed then too.

i need to get some of that 303 salve too. thanks. later:bye2:

Jim, they will be able to look real close at your front differential when they look at the guards in January. They (your dealer) should be aware of the problem by then.

Looking at putting some seat covers on the 835, covers are called ruff tuff, look pretty good, just have to determine what color and camo to select.

My dog is really missing his daily rides, so hopefully mine comes back by Friday.

Thanks, I was looking at a reseller for the product, after you made your post I went to the actual ruff tuff site, the gallery has some nice combos.

Thanks for getting me to look. I will give my better half your suggestion.

Dealer delivered the 835M back today. Everything fixed. Did hear a squeak in the windshield when it was cold. Could of been my bones also.

The Dog and I are both happy it is back. He already has received his first ride. Heater felt great with the cloudy windy day today.

Jim already beat me, he has the "R", I have the lowly "M".
Moonshine wildfire seat covers will trump "R" :mocking:

Ordered seat covers yesterday, didn’t get the wildfire even though they poked pretty good. Ordered the ones that look like grass, thought it would cover up dog tracks the most.
