Well, what did you think of the blower? Looks like it did a bang up job on all that snow. Any thoughts of a cab to keep the snow off:lol: you and out of your face?

I apologize to RaisedonDeere, I didn't mean to hijack your thread. I was just meaning to contrast the differences in our weather. And ...that does look cold! But I bet it would be even colder without that blower to speed things up.I'd have me one if we got more than a 1/2" year :laugh:To all that commented on my steps..Thank you and I'll start up a separate thread...after I toss down another pain pill:flag_of_truce:!

Well maverick & ChrisR i love every bit of the tractor so far. I had a cab on my last tractor and to be honest with you after I put it on I kind of wished I didn't for two reasons... Don't get me wrong it was nice to jump in with a sweatshirt to blow snow but on the flip side it was more of a inconvenience for my application. Let me explain... 1) I mow a lot with the tractor and after I added the cab I found myself pre mowing around all my trees even before I got the tractor out as the cab would hit on all the lower limbs of the trees. I didn't want to trim all my trees up that high so I did a lot of push mowing first. :-( 2) I didn't like how loud the inside of the cab was. It resonates the engine noise a bit more than i was use to and it was quite irritating. I pondered getting a nice Jo-dale perry cab for the 2520 but I spend a lot more time on the seat in the summer months way more than winter. With the 54" blower it makes quick work of the driveway and i wear a balaclava with ski goggles which helps tremendously. Even with snow piling up on me I find i have a huge smile on my face anyways..... ;-) John Deere owners usually do...

I know what you mean about using a cab in the summer. That is why I have been using an Original Cab for the past 8 winters. I only use it in the winter. It is easy to put on & take off.
I do not have a heater, so I cannot wear just a sweat shirt. It just keeps the wind & snow off of me.

Same here in NH. Nothing. In fact they are calling for 50 degrees and rain tomorrow. Crazy season.
But I can still get to my wood pile with ease. :thumbup1gif:

Have you guys checked out Cozy Cab? It seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to pop on and off between seasons.

RaisedonDeere, you're one of the few that have had decent measureable snow to deal with. Glad to see someone able to use their snow equipment.
It was 61 degrees here today!! Good for the heating bill,but I haven't started my tractor for almost 2 months! The only plowable snowfall we've had so far was 6 inches 2 weeks ago. Before I had a chance to get outside,my neighbor with his ATV already did everything.:cray:

I've had more than one person tell me about the enhanced "noise" with a soft cab.Will a hard cab do the same thing?
