I have owned a JD X380 with a 54" deck and used strictly for mowing and am very happy with it. I live on 11 acres in Minnesota and am co-owner of 180 acres of hunting property in northern Minnesota. Had a Case 1816 skid loader and felt very limited as what I could do with it, so started looking at used compact tractors, reading reviews and trying to figure what would work best for me. Long story short, I ordered a JD2038 from a JD dealer about 6 miles from me, ordered with bucket and rear 64" snow blower and should find out today the ship date. First thing I want to add is a rear blade, just gotta figure out what size will work best on a 2038.

Welcome!
Please share your estimated ship date when you know it. I ordered a 2038 a few weeks ago and haven’t been given any ETA, so I’m hoping this would give me at least a very rough idea.

Love my 2038R. Why a rear snow blower? Why not front mounted? I have the front mounted blade for my snow removal. I use a Meyer salt spreader on the rear.

I believe the rear is a more solid setup and I want my bucket on when moving snow.

I've got a Frontier 54" rear snow blower on my 2038r with the hydraulic chute controls .That thing is a beast and can move a ton of snow. I have a 60"snow plow and a 60" snow pusher for the front end loader.

I thought I was going with a 54" snow blower, but the salesman said he sold several with 64" with the 2038 and everyone has been happy.
