This is just my second season mowing with my 1025R (I mow about 2acres plus 1/2 mile of roadsides). Clyde does a lot of things very well but in my opinion mowing the lawn is NOT one of them. I always got an uneven cut as the deck would mow lower on the right (discharge side). After I would get done mowing, I could see the unevenness of the cut and could see my every pass. Drove me nuts. So I took the deck off until Fall and will only use Clyde for tractor duties and leaf pick up. In fall I will put my deck back on along with my MC2120 for leaf duty.
Last week I bought a new Spartan RZ HD zero turn mower and love it. I've never owned a zero turn before and have cut my mowing time nearly in half. Beautiful cut quality. I couldn't be more thrilled with it.
Someone once said the 1025R is like a Swiss army knife in that it can perform many tasks but is not outstanding at any of them. I tend to agree.
