My forks are 3 inches wide. I noticed the same thing you did before I purchased them. I didn't see anybody offering a 3 inch version, so I decided to give these a try. They don't seem overly loose, like they would shift and cause a problem with a load. For loads like furniture or a tool cabinet, I always strap them to the frame as a precaution anyway. I figured it wouldn't cost much or take much time to make wood inserts for each side of each protector (4 pieces total) to take up the slack. I would drill holes in the inserts and have them retained by the pin in back that keeps the protector on the blade. I will certainly post it if I decide this is necessary.I see those are for 4” wide fork tines. Are your forks 3” or 4” keane?
if yours are 3” and these are 4” please make sure to let us know if that presents any issues-thanks!
Yeah, 3” tines are definitely not as common as 4” or larger (industrial forklifts and all). I wouldn’t think the extra inside room would be too problematic, and I’d say a single shim on one side would probably be more than adequate-if ever even necessary. My forks are 3 inches wide.
