Could I disconnect front pto at flex coupling and not affect the 650 tractor. It has all the stuff to run a belly mower but I don't have a belly mower.

Can you post a picture? It sounds like there is some hardware left on the tractor from a previous owner. But to directly answer your question, yes it should be no problem to do that.

Yes is has all the things needed to run belly mower just not the mower. When the front pto is not engaged it make a rattling sound like bad bearing.When the front pto is engaged it quites down. I just don"t need the front pto and yes it has belts pulleys and clutch. Are all still there. It appears that all this goes to the crank. There is a short shaft that goes out to front pto that has couplings. Looks like I could remove that and no more front pto. I just want to make sure that I will not have ill effects when removed.
