Needing a machine to clear several miles of horse/bike/atv trails of fallen leaves prompted the creation of this contraption last week(just in time, too(lol)). A friend offered me their 25 year old Troy-Bilt chipper/vac (that had sat 24+ years),so it was an easy project requiring only building a simple short frame for the engine & vac (now a blower) cannibalized from the original machine(no wonder these chipper/vacs get little use, they're heavy as hell and very limited in capacity-a VERMEER they ain't). Using as a blower now, that 7 lb impeller isn't necessary, and slows the 5hp in spooling up,but, max revs aren't required to move wet leaves12-15ft from the trails. So,here's a few pics to illustrate the finished 'device'. I may add a second tire/wheel to improve flotation over mucky areas.
