Hi.
My freind have this older gator, that give us alot of sleepless nights now.

Its a early 2000 model.
It wont run in idle, so that the clucth will disengage the belt.
Its an kawasaki engine.
We buy brand new caburator, electric fuel pump, sparkplug, and clucth, but that did not help at all, its running fine when it have to drive, or step on the gaspedal.
The valves was no need to adjust.

I made a little video, so you can hear how rough its running, and almost dies out.

Hope maybe someone can help

I would check the fuel and air filters, and if it has one, the water separator.

I forgot to say that also, both are new also, we buy that, when the new electric pump was build on :)

I will try look what i can do more, but i think it maybe is the ignition system, that is old.

The hose that comes from crankcase and goes to the old fule pump, is blowing air, and not make vacuum :banghead:
So that must be the piston,rings or cylinder that is defect.

Brian,

The fuel pump is operated by pulses of air from the crankcase -- at times this will be positive pressure and at times negative pressure... It is not always a vacuum as would be expected from the intake manifold on the old vacuum operated windshield wipers, etc...

From your description, the tube from the crankcase to the fuel pump is acting as it should and you should be getting good fuel flow. If you pass the fuel delivery test on page 43 of the excerpt in my prior post, you are good to go as far as the fuel pump is concerned.

I need to buy some tools for the pressure test :)
If that is okay, then i need to take step by step from the manual.
