How do they take the images for Google Earth?

Google Earth is one of my most favorite computer programs.
Recently I noticed that my work truck is in 2 different locations in images that are dated on the same day.
The truck is at my home & at the jobsite that I was working at that day. The locations are about 7 miles apart.
From the shadows, it looks to be about mid day. I do come home for lunch, so it is possible.
Just not sure how they take pictures.

If you think that is cool, download Google Earth Pro. The program used to cost $600 a year to use but is now free. The username and password are both GEPFREE and is mind blowing at the zoom levels in some areas. There is a location near Dallas that has 18 inch resolution.
