Hello all - new John Deere X370 lawn tractor owner here. Last year we bought a new home in Wisconsin, with a lot big enough to justify buying a lawn tractor – it had to be a Deere! So I bought my new X370 (+ 7-bu bagger & mulching attachments) - it’s perfect for our lot. It joins my other “green machine” – a trusty 23 year old Lawn-Boy GoldPro 2cycle self-propelled mower – now used to mow the steep sides of our drainage ditches. We have many pine trees here (hence my screen name), and like to boat and fish. I like doing mechanical work on our vehicles, boat, and equipment (a nice change from my hi-tech desk job).

My interest in JD started early... My dear departed Dad grew up in a large family on a farm in southern Minnesota, then moved to “the city” for his work. On our many nice visits back to the family farm, I was fascinated by their many JD tractors and implements and how they were so maintainable. That farm is still in our family (now owned by a cousin), and another cousin owns a nearby farm. Deere’s are still used at their farms, including 8440 and 5060E tractors and a 6620 combine. Wife's farming relatives also have some Deere's.

I’ll contribute here what I can about my X370, and I look forward to being on your forum!

Welcome from NW Illinois. Quad city area. I was also hooked on my grandfathers 1020RU that he bought in in 68 and my dad just had to see it that night. In 90 when we moved to the edge of town on 4 acres grandma gave it to me. I pulled a 72" mower behind it and used it weekly until 2016 when i got my 1025. Still have it. Wife wants to sell it but so far i have put her off.

Welcome from East Troy, WI. We have had a Wheel Horse for 30+ years, but relegated it to just snow removal. Got a new X730 last fall for summer yard work. After servicing the JDs at our flying field, we decided on a JD. Wheel Horse just doesn't make a good tractor anymore like our 520H. Still love the 520H and the new JD.
