I have a JD gt245. The bearing has came out of the pto cluch. Have ordered a new clutch #AM126100. I was able to get the bolt and washer off, which holds the clutch on. My question is how in the world do you get the PT Clutch off of the shaft. It will not budge. Have tried PB Blaster. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have attaching the parts diagram and an excerpt from the 318 Tech manual as to give you some reference as it looks like a similar dissemble processes.

If you need to pull the front part of the PTO off I would try a 3 jaw puller. To use the 3 jaw puller just screw the bolt back in with out the washer, this will give you a forgiving surface to pull against.

advise on using a 3 prong puller

you can bend a pulley using one so soak the contact points with a good rust breaker (best I've found is Kroil). Also the longer it soaks the better. On something very rusty I usually try to let it soak good overnight.

just like loosening a nut or bolt, the initial movement will be the hardest.

DO NOT try to get this first movement by tightening the bolt only. Tighten the bolt to get plenty of pressure on it then strike the end of the bolt with a hammer. This sudden impact should dislodge them. if it still does not move fairly easily continue this method until it does.

Doing this may save you from bending the pulley
