Question..Purchased a new 3039r with H165 loader with the 73" (1850mm) Materials Bucket. From what I'm reading, I cant attach the bolt on hooks from Ken, due to double walls of bucket. I am wondering what everybody uses. I had these on my 1025R and it was so nice to be able to pick mower deck up and power wash after mowing, along with all the other things i used it for.

This is going to suck if I cant put hooks on my bucket...:banghead:

wolfman--do some more searching around--makes me think someone else ran into this problem, and they made little blocks somehow to go between the layers, so they could have the bolt on hooks. someone should come along with a better answer!.

Yup, you can have some welded on. I know that a few customers have made spacers (thread is linked from the website) or just used longer bolts, but I don't know the long term effects of either.

I'll move and rename your thread and maybe you'll get some other ideas.

From what I was told, the 73" materials bucket is not the heavy duty one. Or are the both double walled?

I would say no, as far as I know the "materials" buckets do not have the double walled top, but please verify before ordering.

I'm not sure anyone here really knows the difference, that's why I suggested verifying before ordering, I assume you haven't taken possession of your new machine yet?
I know I've had a few customers return their order because they thought they where getting the LM bucket, but instead received the HD for whatever reason, it cost them $24 shipping to find out rather than waiting to verify.

Tractor has not come in yet, I ordered the material bucket. I guess I need to talk to my dealer to find out I guess. Thought someone would know for sure on this site...

Wolfman, give the thread a chance to be read. I'm certain someone around here will know, it just might take them a day or three to see the thread.

Since any of us, including Mr Hooks himself are not certain, we don't want to assume.....

Your dealer/salesman might not know for "sure".

One thing in your favor, Kenny is pretty good at getting orders out fast, so as soon as you know, they can be on the way.

I guess I don't understand, but why not wait until you actually have the tractor/bucket to be sure? Also, who knows, once you see the bucket in person you may want a different amount or configuration of hooks or clevis. Anything you order from Ken you will have in 2-3 days as long as he has it in stock.

It is hard to be patient when you have a new toy on the way. :yahoo:

The "bolt-on" hooks could be welded on if that was necessary. Maybe even a little stronger if done that way.
