Life provides lessons in so many ways............

Just curious, Looking at the picture of your deck, I noticed the grease spot next to (the left of) where the spring is hooked on top of the deck. Is something dripping down onto the spot to cause that oil or grease looking accumulation right there?:unknown:

Maybe it's just mud. Thought I would point it out.

It is dirt accumulation mixed with my radiator overflow dripping

Ouch! They don't show that in the ads.

It looks bad but hopefully the repairs won't be as bad as it looks.

dont feel bad, I just made a $119 mistake by not raising my Woods rear finish mower high enough while backing up and hooked the caster on the edge of a concrete drainage ditch. Caster and bracket suffered.
If I mowed with my FEL I'd be lucky to have a house standing by the year's end.
