Welcome from Ontario, Canada.
You may want to let your wife hold onto your wallet for the first little while, you can spend a lot of money on accessories for these machines.
Just joined GTT myself and came across you post. Would you mind sharing what you paid out the door for your purchase? I'm close to buying a 1025R and just wanted to add to my research. I have family in Bethlehem and frequent the area regularly.
How has the tractor been performing for you so far?

I've had no problems so far with my 1025R tractor and have less than 10 hours on it so far. Bought it with the intentions of using to mow my lawn, however that never happened. The dealership I work for took on Bad Boy Mowers (sorry Green Tractor Talk, LOL) a few weeks after I bought the tractor. Took an immediate liking to the ZT Elite 54” and bought one to mow my lawn instead. Always mowed my lawn with a garden tractor in the past, but the maneuverability of a zero turn is awesome and fast. No regrets buying the Bad Boy. Went back to United Ag & Turf just before Ray (former dealership owner) retired and bought a set of AP10 forks and have found them to be quite a useful tool around the property. As for money spent on my purchase, I guess that’s between me and United. With the way pricing has gone up and will continue to rise (another Deere price hike end of the month), what I paid is a mute point. Can say my salesman Mike Thompson, treated me well and glad I purchased the tractor when I did.
Several years ago, I took my JD 316 to Harvest to have the engine overhauled. The repair bill was over $2000, about $450 more than the quote, but it was my dads tractor. Unfortunately it ran less than 40 hours when the cam bushing fell out and damaged the engine severely. Harvest refused to provide any warranty on the repair. Hence I’ll never buy anything from Harvest again.….

Slim pickings for good dealers and repair services nowadays. Bought a brand new 12.5L crate engine from JD and ended up getting a rebuilt unit that hadn’t been benched. Didn’t have oil pressure and immediately failed. Got another rebuild in exchange and a “sorry about your luck”.

After the failure I took the failed engine to the same dealer that I bought my 1025R from this spring to get another opinion and maybe seek legal action. Their technician looked the engine over and found a few other faults with the overhaul. I was impressed with his knowledge and realized that when I was thinking about overhauling the engine in my 316, I should have been interviewing the technicians doing the rebuild instead of the service writer…. Lesson learned!
