Hello all,
been looking to buy a JD tractor, and wanted to check in
I have the tractors narrowed down to 2 models but still have not pulled the trigger, will be doing so early next week
using for, I have 22 acres in NV and that is where its going to used at most of the time, cutting brush, I already have a brush hog, moving things around, post hole drilling, and all around general cleaning, not going to be diggin, like backhoe stuff at this time but possibly later, although I do have several attachments that I can use off my other tractor,
anyways ,
I do not know if this is the correct forum to ask but I'm looking at either:
3320 or 3520
both are with in about a grand of each other right now
items

front loader
canopy
deluxe front grill
R4 tires
and thats pretty much it
so my question is I know they are both pretty close in everything except HP and PTO rating and if U all had the same chance to choose either one, which one would U all go for, I do not want to make a mistake or I should say the wrong choice on this as I'm going to drop some good hard earn money on this
so please help this newbie out and please feel free to give me your input
Bryan

Welcome to GTT Bryan (Northoffrisco).
I am not familiar with said tractors but would assume both are good units. Most members here are happy to spend others money so you came to the right place.
I'll start, you probably want to add a set of forks to the outlay.

Welcome, From Texas!

I do not have firsthand experience with either of those tractors, so will let someone who "knows" them give you the best answer. However, all things being equal, I tend to go for the most HP.

Welcome from Oklahoma! :greentractorride:

Lots of knowledgeable members here who will help you spend your money like Gizmo said. Also lots of threads on many subjects and tons of information. Dive in and learn everything you can.

You definitely want a set of forks for brush clearing. I use mine most every day:

Welcome to GTT!

Bryan, if they are only within $1k, get the 3520. You never hear somebody complaining that they have too much power!:thumbup1gif:

Thank you for the warm welcomes, I'm pretty excited about this but just do not want to make the wrong choice, I put my hands on a 3320 and it is a nice tractor have not put my hands on a 3520 yet, but they are the same frame size and build size I think, I do like that fact the 3520 has a turbo and has more power, the prices are correct, just a grand difference between the 2 the 3520 is a grand more the the 3320

I have look at other tractors too, some reason I come back the the Deere, not sure why yet

That's simple! Probably because of GTT, bunch of cool people here.
Good luck with your purchase.

Welcome from the top of Maine! Only $1K more for the 3520 is worth it.

Welcome from New York.

I agree with the others, for only $1K more, I'd also go with the 3520. If financing over several years, you probably wouldn't even notice that additional $1K.

Thanks all for the warm welcome,
I went out yesterday and looked at some tractors as I mentioned earlier, there was a dealer that had both brands JD and Kubota both are really nice tractors, on the JD side they only had a 3320 and on the Kubota side they had a L3800 I almost pulled the trigger on the L3800 but I wanted to wait to see, sit, and feel this JD 3520 more I read more I think, more I feel like a JD is the way to go,
for me customer service is very important, (VERY) as I'm in a service industry and it is so important to make sure my customers feel comfortable, see the quality, and feel believe that they are getting a fair price, I was not impressed with the last 2 Kubota Dealers and I drove round trip 450 plus miles to talk to one this past weekend. This dealer also a JD dealer but I was focused on the Kubota during this time, He will loose a sale from me, on a tractor, and 2 additional chain saw sales,
I the one JD dealer close to my home did receive a 3520 in over the weekend and I was called on it, the sales guy took my call today, on his cell, on his day off, to me that is customer service. I will see him tomorrow
I will post a few pix tomorrow
