Hello has anyone have this problem before? The other day I was running the 4320 down the road when it made a funny noise and loss power for a second then regain full power then it started smoking blueish white smoke, smelled like unburnt fuel, ran like that for about 10mins, then I shut it down and now it won't start. Change the fuel filter bleed the system and still nothing. It will start with WD40 but wont run. Fuel shut off is working. I opened the fuel line coming out of the back of the valve cover and cranked the engine and there was no fuel coming from it. I have a several pieces of equipment and I am very familar with diesel engines and never ran into a issue like this. Deere tells me to take it to the dealer I can't afford that option, so I hope someone on here can help.
Thanks for your time.

Welcome to GTT!

Sorry to hear about your troubles Steve. It definitely sounds like you have a fuel delivery issue. When you try to start it, does it smoke at all? If so, what color?

That was without starting aids like the WD-40?

I want to say it sounds like your timing slipped. But that wouldn't explain the earlier thing with the losing power, then regain, then a no-start.:unknown: Hopefully one of our most knowledgeable members, JD110, will be along shortly to help out. :good2:

If you are getting no fuel out of the line at rear of valve cover, then you either have a plugged fuel line, plugged fuel filter, plugged outlet at tank, or a failed fuel transfer pump. If you pump the primer by hand, do you get any fuel there? If you do, then it is possible to have a camshaft problem. Worn lobe or cam not turning, but since it fires on wd40 the cam has to be turning.

At first I thought it was the fuel filter, most of the time that is the problem. I did replace the filter. Primer works. I checked all the fuel lines and have got fuel to them all. Fuel pump works. the only line I found that didn't have fuel was the one coming out of the back of the valve cover, which that line goes to a Aneroid, not sure what that does tho? The online parts catalog has the Aneroid and the fuel Solenoid list on the same page, I am thinking one has something to do with the other. I bought the tractor new and have taking excellent care of it and has less the 700hrs so I don't think it would be a major break down.
Thanks for your time.

Update made a little progress today but the 4320 still not running.

first off Thanks to everyone who tried to help. Got alot further along on trouble shooting my 06 4320. Manual finally came in so that helped alot. Took the radiator out to get to the front of the engine. Took the cover off of where the linkage is for the fuel shut off Solenoid and tried to start it and noticed the fuel rail wasn't moving, pulled the fuel rail out, hit the key and it started, just as fast it started it shut off, fuel rail pulled right back in. Not sure on why its doing that, not real familiar with the new common rail fuel injection systems. Only thing I can think it is is the Aneroid which the manual don't even tell you what is??? Manual refers to the steel lines as air line for the intake??? JD was so nice to put one special bolt on the Aneroid so it needs a special socket, just thought I would add that fun fact! Anyone on here that has this problem let me know how to fix mine.
Thanks for your time!

fuel rail not moving?

if this is common rail that means injector pump is high pressure into the rail and the injectors are electronic. Do you have fuel in the rail? if not does anyone know what drives the injector pump is it timing chain/belt or accessory belt? if no fuel maybe you lost the high pressure pump but have the gravity or transfer pump(if equipped) working from tank.

you really need to see what your rail pressure is.

Blue smoke doesn't worry me but you said white that has me a little concerned as that is usually oil or antifreeze.

Yeah, I remember that one. It turned out to be a seized unit injector pump that broke and parts fell down into the engine. He ended having to get a reman engine for like 8000 bucks (no warranty), and we never heard from him again. I hope the poor bastard didn't hang himself.
