I am looking at:

2008 John Deere 757 Zero Turn. 25 HP, 7-Iron Deck, 60 inch cut. Residential owner, never used commercially. 193 Hours - excellent shape

Is this one of the better ones? I wanted a diesel, but this might fit the bill.

How much do you think this is worth in excellent shape?

It is one of the good ones, but the guy is not calling me back....... Does not look good.

Its got me kind of hooked at getting rid of the 445 and getting a 930 with Mutch on Demand :thumbup1gif:

Wow, this 930's are pricey! How much grass do you have to cut?

Whats the price on the 757?

Asking price on the 757 was 7,500. I thought it was high, but after looking at other sales all day, it seems in the ball park for the hours and its shape. I would try to get it for under 7K.

The 930's are the cheapest I can get a 60" MOD deck....... I have an acre and a half of lawn. That does not mean a acre and a half lot, I mean a full acre and a half of grass to cut. The house and barn is on a 2.5 acre square of lawn.

Part of me just hates the deck on the 445.... I have a 7 iron on the 4110 and it cuts so much better!

I just found a 2010 930 with MOD and 70 hours on it for 8,900.00.(dealer lot).. The deck looks like it was rubbed up against some stuff on one side, but the rest looks good. Thats a 13,500 msrp machine. Part of me wonders why someone would trade that to a dealer with so few hours......

Same place has a very nice 2007 727 w/54 inch deck for 5,600. I have a 60 now and would like a 72... I have a hard time dropping to 54, but its less expensive and looks new.

Well, I went and looked at the 930 w/MOD at the dealer and its really rough. I would have to say that it was abused for some time and I was suprised to see it only had 75 hours on it. Not interested.

So, I looked around and the salesman would match another price I got on a 920. I have to assume that the 920 and the 757 are almost identical machines. About the same HP and neither have the MOD deck.

Out the door price for the (new) 920 was 8,500. The 2008 757 (193 hours) is 6,500...... Seems to me that 2K is worth it for a new machine?

:morning2: uh... I am unsure where you got 1/2 acre from, but my house is on 2.5 acres of grass and I own 17 more acres behind me....... I also have plans on turning some of the land behind me into a lawn for football and soccer games. I will easily be mowing 5 plus acres.

And yes I am serious about buying a 60" zero turn. :thumbup1gif: Will confirm today, but I plan to pick it up Friday
