Very hard to move out of low range in the neutral I step on the pedals to make it go forward or reverse a little bit it comes out of gear but it's still pretty hard talk to John Deere they didn't have much to say

Pretty much how it goes for everyone till things get loosened up. Try parking it on flat land without the brakes on and just let it settle on it's own and see if that makes a difference.

Mines the same way a nearly new 2025r. It helps if the tractor can move. No parking brake bucket not down. I often let the tractor just barely be moving to shift.

As others have said - you have to find the sweet spot of no pressure on the drive train. You can’t force it - gently while tweaking the pedals.
