Hooks on FEL

Ordered the grab hooks with backing plates for my JD 3520 FEL from Ken last Wednesday and got them two days later on Friday.

As soon as you pull them out of the box you can see and feel the craftsmanship that went into their making.

The easy instructions assured a flawless job. The primer coating made the two coats of paint I applied look very professional.

As you can see from my pics the backing plate fit perfectly and gave me the support I was looking for. The hooks look like they came with the bucket from the factory.

Many thanks to Ken for a great product and I look forward to any other items he would have to offer in the future.

I have to admit they do look good.

You don't have to make it sound like it hurts to say that:laugh:

Thank you very much LHS! You are my first customer to receive the backing plates and I am glad they worked out so well for you. I will be adding your pictures and comments to my website soon.

You are certainly welcome! I was honored to be the first one to receive the new backing plates. I'm looking forward to the new website and seeing my pics on there.
hooks

I have an almost new 6330 with loader. I have the bolt on cutting edge on the bottom of the bucket to protect the bucket edge itself, I think the bolts are about 6 inches apart holding that edge on. Is there a set of hooks available, that 2 or those bolt nuts can be removed, then a plate be dropped over the bolts and re-tigthen the nuts to hold it on, with the hook welded to the plate?. I envision 3/8 inch steel plate maybe 4 inches by 8 inches with the hook welded on it. I know I can get such a thing made, hoping someone has done it. Got some big tree limbs to pull up out of a deep ditch. Two hooks on that loader would put a smile on my John Deers face and mine too.

I have never seen anything like that available Bruce, sorry.
After having hooks on a bucket they seem incomplete without them !

I have one on mine and need to get the other one made and installed.

Looks great.
I just purchased 3 of them with the backing plates to put on my brand new "used" 174 hours 2005 JD 990 with 300CX heavy duty bucket (just got the cutting edge installed for it before I start to put any ware on it) 8B backhoe only used once (paper still stuck on the side of the bucket) and JD pallat forks never used and a Speeco Wood splitter. It will be handy having some hooks on the bucket. I look forward to getting them and getting them painted and installed.
Hooks for bucket

On my Massey Ferguson Utility 35 bucket I had a slip & grab hook
I asked my fabricator to please put hooks on my new 4300 bucket
He said I would be happier with a "D ring" so I could attached a bigger variety of things
cable rope straps chain
not having a grab hook makes use chain a little harder

When I'm going to use chain a lot or move a trailer I put this plate on
had to add lower ball in order to elevate motor on back of boat high enough to move it
next fall I will show how I mount a walk behind blower to this plate
so is easier to look forward and back a trailer up sorta like which is better front or rear snow blower
