I know a few will slide into the braket on the front, but how do you lock them in? Pictures will help!

Are you really going to go that fast on a bumpy ground? I've never locked mine in, just put them on and went and did what needed done.

I now have the Heavy Hitch front weight bracket and the only reason I lock them now is because I don't want the bar laying around so I use it. Do I need to, no. The only reason I have a chain on this pic is to hold the extra weight on and in place. Needed the extra weight for what's on the back, 642 lbs. before any dirt gets on it. Still a little light on the front. I need 8 for the tiller. There is 6 on in the pic.

I bought the 7 weight front bracket, with that little toolbox that they put in the front it was a pain. The weight bracket comes with the locking rod and stays on the tractor, it does not interfere with the FEL.

Have a 2025r ordered what kind of bracket did you find that does not interfere with the loader. A part number would be great, thanks

Look in to getting a bracket from Heavy Hitch. That’s what I now use on my 1026R . I started out with Deere’s front bracket and now switched to the Heavy Hitch because it goes on and off in about 30 seconds without tools. With the bracket from JD in needed to unbolt a bracket for the front hitch and then bolt on the weight bracket. Wasn’t hard to do but, the Heavy Hitch is easier. :gizmo:

I had one with my 1023, it didn’t work on the 2025R so I sold it and bought the bolt on weight bracket. I don’t use and front quick attach like plow or snowblower so mine stays on all year around.

I was thinking they make one for the 2025 as the 2025 uses the same plow and snowblower as the one series. Maybe they don’t :dunno: that’s why I said to look into a heavy hitch. You don’t need to have the front hitch, just the mount that heavy hitch can supply.

I just looked on his page, doesn't look it yet. Don't get me wrong, I really liked it on my 1023. But as I stated, I don't use the front quick hitch so I simply opted for the bolt on JD bracket on my 2025. But I will say this, I cannot no matter how hard I try get that stay put rod through the bracket with the weights on, never had a problem putting the rod through on the HH bracket, they are made very well.

Just got my new 2025r , I only need 4 of the 42lb weights on mine because of the 20 bushel stainless MCS hopper, i made a very simple system, i had removed the toolbox anyway, i made 2 simple brackets that bolt to the inside of the grill guard ,weights go over the frame and a holding pin goes in a hole, just above mounting hole, made it out of 1/4 inch by 3 and rod out of 1/2 inch round stock, less than an hour

Neat way to retain the the weights. How do you live without the toolbox you cannot open without a grill guard?

Happy coincidence . Pulled my new 2025R in with loader today to install Kens bolt on hook combos, and my little 4 weight front bracket ,with 42lb weights does not hinder hooking up or removing the loader, i dont see any reason to use them both other than just a quick moving around of something in a hurry,
