I am putting a 146 loader on the 2640. The OEM toolbox is mounted to the right side frame and
must be removed to mount the loader. Did Deere make a toolbox mounting bracket for the loader
mast or does the OEM mount attach to the mast some how. I can't find any info in the OM or
on the parts breakdown. I seem to remember that it moves to the loader somehow but I can't find
out how. Anybody know?

To my knowledge JD didn't offer a kit to mount factory toolbox bracket on loaders such as 146. Back when I had a model 158 on my 4255 I welded two 5/8'' nuts to loader mast to attach toolbox bracket.

I have welded toolbox bracket to 2 different loaders now. The loader I bought the previous owners drilled holes on side of sheet metal by loader control. It was a good spot until you wanted to use lights. Pictures available for ideas if requested keeping in mind my loaders are 175 and 245.

Thanks! Welding a couple bolts on and using the OEM bracket sounds like an easy fix and a good idea!

Welding either 5/8'' nuts or short 5/8'' bolts will allow bracket to be attached. I also utilized spacers so tool box lid will remain opened once opened.
