Simple fix:The one thing I wish is that it was a bit higher visibility (low-viscosity and low-visibility!) to make it easier to read on the dipstick.

Hydraulic Fluid Dye
Having trouble seeing the fluid level in the little sight glass? This small bottle of red dye is cheap and will last forever since only a few drops are needed to dye the fluid a red color. JD (Yanmar for sure) uses this at the factory to help identify leaks, but after one or two oil changes...www.greentractortalk.com
I'm thinking of adding a couple of drops to my front axle to make it easier to read as well.
I gots to get me some of that!Simple fix:

That stuff doesn’t come off
Are you talking about right out of the bottle, or even when diluted in the hydraulic fluid, or both?Get some gloves if you don’t have them on hand.

Any particular reason why you don't want to use JD fluid? There's no such thing as not being able to find it/get it, order it online and it will be at your doorstep.I have 1025R what type hydraulic Fluid I use if I can't to John Deere Fluid also is aFluid same as hydraulic Fluid.
It's not bad diluted but will stain clothes. The dye itself is really bad. I had red fingers for days the first time I used it.Are you talking about right out of the bottle, or even when diluted in the hydraulic fluid, or both?
That’s what I’ve found. I actually under dose mine to get a more pink fluid, and it’s really not bad for stains, but still much easier to see. It's not bad diluted but will stain clothes. The dye itself is really bad. I had red fingers for days the first time I used it.
is anybody aware of a similar product for motor oil?Simple fix:

I wondered about the same thing - specifically for my Gator. I just can't see the oil on the dipstick at all until it gets more than 10 hours or so on it.is anybody aware of a similar product for motor oil?
