My driveway is not overly big, but with the house, garage, trees and shrubs, I have always in the past changed the deflector angle trough out the job. (even more so when the wind starts to blow back in your face.)
The agro trends blower has a manual rotation handle for the chute, but the deflector was fixed into place. So I decided to use the curl function of the FEL and added a cylinder to the deflector.
before.
I needed to either cut the shaft of the cylinder, or make a bracket to adjust the distance of the mounting points. Since i don't weld, i decided to make the bracket out of 1/4" aluminum plate. (made a sample out of 1/4" oak ply first. but it did work)
The 4" stroke cylinder was a perfect match to the original adjustment of 4". So it was just a case of getting the mounting points right. Then used 2 13' length of 1/4" hose with quick connects on the tractor end and ran it up over the fender beside the grab handle and connected to the FEL control. Test run and it works perfectly. :thumbup1gif:
