I'm thinking of getting a Imatch or a harbor freight quick connect. I just order a MX5. I have never seen one other than a picture. Do you need to change the pins on the mx5 to work with the Imatch. The dealer wants 375 for the Imatch vs 89 for the harbor freight one. They look close but which is better. Thanks for your help.

I have an MX6 with iMatch. You will need the pins/bushings with either quick hitch. I will take a picture later. I've seen posts here about getting non JD bushings and pins cheaper. I don't have any first hand knowledge of that. I just got mine from the dealer at the 60 bucks or so. As far as which one is better, well, you can't go wrong with green:dance:

Do these slide over or replace the pins that are on the MX5?

The bottom ones slide over the existing ones. I'm not sure about the top one, but I think it replaces the existing one. That pin seen in the first picture is the original one I figured. Not using it, so it just sits there. I pulled it out for picture number 3. The dealer put them on before he delivered it. The iMatch did have a long lead time due to a design change (adjustable top hook). I'm not sure if they are shipping yet; I'm waiting for one, but the dealer has been letting me use an old style one. I better call and bug him about that. What do you have for a tractor?

A search of the terms "imatch" and "bushings" will return lots of reading.

Cheapest lower bushings around: QUICK HITCH ADAPTER KIT CAT 1-3
That's cheap. They look like they are zinc plated also:thumbup1gif: You can see from the picture how rusty mine have got in only 1 month.

Are you saying those are factory Deere ones that rusted like that? I have the ones in the link Kenny provided, and they are on implements that sit outside. Since the beginning of May (when I bought the Quick-Hitch and put the bushings on everything), my bushings still look like gold with zero rust. I would say one more reason to get the Belarus version.

Yes, those are the Deere ones. I will try the other ones next time for sure. Do they fit right over the pins, or is there a bushing that goes on first as the case with the deere ones? As cheap as they are, I'll order a couple sets just so I'm ready for the next implement.....maybe I won't buy any more implements though.:unknown:

They slide right onto CAT1 pins, no extra bushing needed. I bought 4 pair a while ago and just used 1 pair on a friends MCS that I was seting up for iMatch. They are made in India.

One set of bushings I got from my dealer with the tractor were zinc plated. The second set they gave me were plain steel and had surface rust already in the package. A little paint goes a long way. Now you can't tell which are which and no rust.:drinks:
