Thursday is the first game of the season.

Michigan will be playing Utah, on Thursday night.
Then everything breaks loose on Sat. With everyone else playing.
It's that glorious time of the year!!!!

Let's see some Game day snacks, Buckets of 34,000 calorie dip concoctions, Shrimp Burgers, Bratwurst Pizzas and Tailgate Gourmet fare!!

Whaddya got???!!!

I'll be taking pics Thurs. getting ready, and putting up a few here and there, as the season goes on.

Gonna need some help here though. I am running out of local folks to steal recipes from.

I suggest you peruse the cook book if you haven't already. The ABT recipe is great. I've been thinking of writing down Sharn Jean's stuffed mushroom recipe; it's awesome! I'll see if I can get 'er done soon.

Got in later than I wanted, and had to go with something quick, to allow time to get cleaned up, before the game.

Ended up going with Flatbead Pizza's.

2.1/4 cups of flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1 Cup warm milk

Mix dry stuff in bowl.
Add milk and stir with spoon until it gets grabby, and then work until elastic but still soft.

Roll into a loaf, and slice into 5-6 pieces, and roll into balls.

Then cover with a dish towel, and let it relax for about 30min.

Once rested, flatten out the balls, and roll out to about 1/8" or a little less, and poke with a fork.

Heat up a DRY skillet at about Med. high, and flop one in.

The dough will start to raise, and form blisters. Give it until it's browning, and slightly burning on the high spots, then flip

Should look like this.

Once all 5-6 are done, pre-heat oven to 350F, drop flatbread in a skillet, add Mozz. Maters, Basil, Chives, dried maters, etc.

And chuck in the oven for 10-12 min.
Drizzle with good EVOO and a bit of salt...as the Pre-game show finishes up.
