Welcome from another Mid-Hudson Valley New Yorker.
I bought my 1026R TLB almost 2-1/2 years ago, so I don't think my price would be a good comparison. There was only a $500 rebate for 2 implements, and my dealer would only "split" it with me, so I know I got a good price. Next closest dealer gave me a much higher price. I hope you tried Adams Power Equipment, they gave me the best price at the time, I dealt with Joe M the sales manager.
Since you don't need to register a tractor like a car, why can't you pick one up in NH to save the sales tax? I live in NH, and my town is clogged with shoppers from MA every weekend. Mostly people buying tires and such, but why not tractors?
