My first post here, I am having trouble with my John deere f525 lawn tractor starting, I have power and fresh fuel but as I press the brake pedal and turn the key to start I blow a 20 amp fuse. I have checked the brake neutral switch and replaced relays and i am still having trouble. All wiring looks good too. What am I missing?
Check the wiring to the brake switch to be sure no wires are shorting. Then bypass the switch to see if the switch is bad. If that checks out check the wiring to the starter for a short.Last thing is the ignition switch. For the fuse to blow sounds like a wire rubbing somewhere.
