Is there anyone out there that's used the JD430 (or any 4xx) frame extension on an x7xx series, to use an older 140-318 plow assembly?
I'm curious what others thoughts are of going this route.

I assume you are aware that AL at ALZ Welding makes a "frame squeezer" that does what I think you want to do? He goes to FL for winter so act fast if interested.

ALZ Welding is the first source I was referred too months back. Due to it needing bolted on, this brings me back to my original question.

To me, the frame extension appears to mount on the X-Series the same way the mount of the complete blade assembly itself does. Shaft to the hooks/bottom, spring pins (one each side) top. Quick Attach. Another concern, the mowing deck draft arms must be removable without the need of tools. Or verse/vica.
