Hi all new here
I have a 1025r tractor with the backhoe attachment and when using the backhoe only the engine will stall sometimes not always . Thought fluid was low but that’s not the issue
Any thoughts ???

What RPM are you running? If your backhoe gets hung and hydraulics go into relief, it will pull the engine down.

Same question what rpm are you running , I usually run mine around 25-2800 rpm.

More details about your machine would help. How many hours on it? Have you changed the fuel filters?

Are you encountering obstacles when digging and the stalling happens?

Does the stalling happen right away when using the backhoe or after some time?

it was happening before I did the 200 hr service and seemed to happen when I was really using it to dig up tree stumps so I thought it was because I was trying to make it work to hard but now after the service it just shut down while extending the arm under no work
It dug like 8 holes for some trees then it started stalling
And seems to happen while backhoe is stretched out and not so much while operating closer to the tractor

Power beyond hose connections ???

I was removing my Backhoe, had the engine running and pushed the tractor away from the backhoe after I got it disconnected from the tractor frame. when I moved it it pulled on the hoses a little and partially disconnected the upper hose.

Engine started to bogg down as I was moving to shut the engine off. saw that the hose disconnected and that explained the bogging.

hooked the hoses together on the tractor. and all was well again....

check your Backhoe hydo conectors, be sure they a fully connected and locked...

Even if they look connected, disconnect / reconnect them to be sure.

I had the same issue a while back and it drove me nuts trying to figure it out. Turned out the small fuel filter under the left fender was partially clogged. When the rear of the tractor was raised with the stabilizers, the slight forward angle caused the partially clogged filter to be starved of fuel. Changed the filter (not a fun job) and all was well!

All my fault for neglecting the hard-to-get-at filter.
