SO I'm sure there are a million posts about this mower deck however I can't seem to find one specific to my needs. If I do it does not state that it is in fact for a 272 grooming mower. Problem is that I keep throwing belts. Bought a belt and instaledl it. Run it for a day and it's great. Run it for two days and I'll smell a faint bit of rubber and in a split second I Turn around and it's off. I put the new belt on the same way I took the old belt off. New belt is now in worse shape than the old belt.
I've always questioned the adjustment on the back. If you tighten the nut the adjuster get's loose. Has always seemed to me that it should be the other way around because in order for my adjuster to put any tension on the belt the nut has to be completely backed off which makes it completely relying on the spring. When I first got it I replaced the spring after it snapped. I ran it with the belt it came with for a season. In the beginning of this year it went and I replaced it. Does anybody have a belt diagram for a 272 grooming mower. If I google 272 grooming mower belt diagram I come up with 100 different hits but none actually say 272 grooming mower.
