My 332 in my opinion doesn't move as fast as it should when moving forward. Reverse seems ok and is definitely faster than reverse. Can someone give me some guidance? I know there were 3 or 4 versions of the transmission control linkage based off the serial # tag but mine is missing. The dampener is located underneath the dash on this one. Everything looks good on the linkage. The linkage seems to engage the transmission the same for reverse and forward. Any help would be appreciated.

When you say the "linkage looks good", what did you do? A visual inspection may not reveal much. You need to move things back and forth, remove some end pivot bolts to find any possibly worn or damaged hardware. Check your heim joints (rod ends) for slop too.
