I have a 23 X 7" JD 8300 Double Run - Grain only Drill. My question is what do you do to stop the seed flow when driving between fields? As best as I can tell the only way to stop flow would be to remove the Chains or Spur Gears. Is there abetter way?

Thanks for input

When disks are raised one of the cams(key 16) should rotate separating the clutches?(keys 14 & 17) disengaging feed shaft.

And the Lights go on. after using large amounts of penetrating oil I found that the reason it was not making sense was the inner and outer shaft were rusted together making it act as if it was a solid shaft. once I got it freed up the chain sprocket and Spur Gear turned separate when the Clutch was disengaged.

Thanks to everyone for their patience and help with an slow learner.
