CARY, N.C. (May, 15, 2023) — Offering premium power and versatility to its customers, John Deere debuts its 2024 model-year upgrades on its lineup of 3R- and 4-Series compact utility tractors. In addition, John Deere unveils its latest 4-Series model, the 4075R Compact Utility Tractor, equipped to tackle jobs for customers in the commercial snow removal and large-property owner markets. Highlighting increased reliability and technology readiness, the updated 4R-, 4M- and 3R-Series machines feature a variety of improvements to help elevate tractor performance and operator experience, especially in heavy-duty work applications.

“Our customers are always seeking solutions to help get the job done faster and with more ease. Building on operator comfort and convenience, the 4075R, along with the full lineup of MY24 4R cab machines, boasts an electrohydraulic (EH) rear hitch control, promoting simplified operation for precise control and repeatability during rear-implement applications. To further elevate performance, packages designed specifically for snow application are available on the 4R cab models to help ensure optimum operation and performance in even the most severe winter weather conditions.

Adding to the full suite of trusted John Deere technology solutions, the latest 4-Series models provide an ideal operator experience with the inclusion of technology-ready capabilities, including integration into the already existing Tractor Plus application.

I like the new 3 pt hitch control on the 4075R. That was sorely needed, especially in the cab models.

Lol.
i just got the trade deal done trading my 2019 4066R and 2014 5115M for my 5R. Lol
I need to see how the 5125R plays out. Should get it in about 2 weeks.

What may be more likely would be trading my 2019 3046R for the new one, maybe.
‘Not seeing anything changed in that announcement for the 3R other then LED lights. Which if that’s it for 3R.
‘I doubt I find a good reason to make a trade. I was really hoping for new cab, better hydraulics. LEDs were more of given to be on pretty much all future tractor.
Might even be able to upgrade my 19 with the 24s LED lights.

I suppose if I find I am really regretting trading off my 4066R, I would likely go for the latest 4075R, but I am really doubting it.

Now that JD has a 75 hp eHydro 4 series tractor, I figured you might be waiting on the eHydro 5075R to be announced. :)

Well this just made my day! Not surprised that the 3R and 4 Series are getting updated, but I am surprised by the 4075R. I know one thing for sure, the 4075R better come with 4M HD Cat 1/2 3pt arms and not just regular Cat 1 arms. A 75 hp tractor with strictly Cat 1 3pt arms is absurd to me. I really really like the looks of that front axle, very heavy duty and reinforced. Looking forward to more info and pictures!

I like it in my 5 series as well.
But just a tip for anyone buying that option.

That system does not return your hitch to full height after bleed down when setting a few days and starting the tractor backup, like mechanical systems do.

‘Learned that the hard way, when my I-match had bleed down and didn’t know it and in turn got into my batwing mowers PTO shaft and sheered it off.

Just FYI for anyone buying that option.
To get it to return to max 3pt height, you have to lower and raise it again after each engine startup.

I really hoped they sustantually improved the power steering along with that new heavy duty axle.

That would be nice. I've maxed out the power steering on the 4052M when moving very heavy pallets, like 2500 lbs of masonry cement. The power steering will go out and then you become the power steering, which is really a PITA. Seems to be a common thing on most compact tractors, but only when maxing out the loader.

Nice. I spot valve stem guards!! . Electric over hydraulic rock shaft is great upgrade. I wonder if the loader SCV is electric as well like the Euro 4R…..?

Can’t wait to see more details.

Some interesting things here. 75 engine hp and 5" of PTO hp (someone at Deere messed that up, I'm guessing maybe it is supposed to be in the high 50 hp or low 60 hp range). Both eHydro and PowrReverser transmissions, which is interesting because Deere doesn't offer PowrReverser and the factory cab as compatible optons on any 3R or 4R machines. 4WD obviously, but still only a Cat 1 3pt. Also looks like the 4075R is only going to be offered with a cab, no open station model. Granted all of this information is very early on and subject to change. I just thought it was interesting.

One big question I have, will this tractor have a DPF since it is at the 75 hp mark, or will it be a DEF machine? I didn't see an obvious DEF tank or cap in any pictures so I am guessing it has a DPF like all the other 4 Series machines.

that 4075R is mighty tempting 👀. I wouldn't want the electric controlled 3 point though.

The 5075E and lower HP and 5075M are now running some new sort of Catlis and EGR valve setup and no longer DEF or DPF, so no regens, but not sure how that new system is holding up, just hit the market about a year ago.

So that makes me wonder if that might be what they are doing here with the 4075R???

Not really as much a HP thing as other things like weak power steering, weak AC, cab size in general the current 4 series, and there are much better hydraulic features or options, just capability in general of the latest 5 series that makes me prefer the 5s.

Now, I would be on the phone trading my other 5M and placing an order for new 5075M E-hydro or maybe a power command 8 if it were offered in the 75hp range, preferably the E-hydro. Or a 4R with say the 5 series cab and features. A simple HP bump and LED lights is not going to likely sway me to buy another 4R. Main thing about 5 series in the 75hp range is that No DEF and No DPF/No regen that does appeal to me with that new 75HP 5M.

I was hoping to see more done with the 3 series, given the thread title, but I feel a bit disappointed.

Where is the 3025R? 🤣
