Thanks T-Mo.:good2:
kind of neat seeing back in the past and remembering the different models I have seen through out my life. One model you don't ever see is the 116 LT from the early to mid 80s, you see some 111's and if I remember right 112 was a model in that series:unknown:
I bought a 116 in 1983 or 84 with a 48'' mmm and front blade. I thought it was a pretty awsome tractor for the most part till my neighbor/landlord's son would come by on their 420 and blow me away.:gaah:
hope everyone else enjoyed the videos as much as I did.:drinks:

Jeff,
The 112 that was in the 111 series was the 112L, not to be confused with the 112 garden tractor from the 60s and 70s. The 108 and 111 debuted in 1979 as replacements for the 100 lawn tractor. The 108 had a 8 hp Briggs and a 30 inch deck, while the 111 had a 11 hp Briggs and a 38 inch deck. Both came with a mechanical pto, the fuel tank was located under the hood and share the snow blower and snow blade. In 1980, electric pto replaced the mechanical pto. In 1982, the fuel tank was moved to underneath the fender deck and the 111H (hydrostatic) was added. Also for 1982 the 116 and 116H came out with a 16 hp horizontal opposed twin Briggs and the 38 inch deck and the 46 inch deck was added (with the 46 inch deck, 20 inch rear tires replaced the 18 inch tires). In 1985, Deere dropped the 111H as the 112L was added with the 12.5 hp Kawasaki engine and 38 inch deck. In 1986 Deere replaced the entire line with the 130, 160, 165, 170, 175, 180 and 185 tractors.

I had a '79 and '80 111, as well as a 1980 108 and a 1985 112L.

Here is my '79 111:

Here is my 1980 111:

And here is my 112L:

I traded or sold all of them.

Yep! I forgot about the 108. Mine was just a 116 as the hydro was new the year I bought mine and was on back order. Me being young and as always in a hurry I took the gear drive unit:unknown:. All in all it was a good tractor I sold it when we moved from that house in Brighton MI. for almost as much as I paid for it.:good2:
