Has anyone ever planted Lima Beans (Ford Hook), and Butter Beans with a JD plate planter? If so what plate did you use?
what position was the floor plate in?

i’m familiar with lincoln ag, just that I’m asking for past experiences because such a large difference in seed sizes.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

If you have a large variance of size in seeds of the same type you may need to sort them by size to get the best planter performance and get plates to fit that seed size.
I sent some seeds to Lincoln Ag over the winter to get my plate sizes for an IH row unit.

Another option is to buy blank seed plates and then drill the holes yourself in the plates and round off with a dremel type tool. Then you can set it up anyway you like on spacing.
