Once firmly seated in the 5075e, Ken would not turn loose! We had a deal, but he backed out of it!

We couldn't "shake on it" because of COVID! Yeah...that's my (current) excuse 😂 :p

Tim,

When are you going to upgrade to a green TS10? That orange is really ugly! :p

BTW, pulling it with an eHydro fixes that "too fast in reverse" problem.

Tim, your next project for Ken could be digging up and removing the big rock he tried sharpening the blades on! 😂😂🚜

Ken was just looking out for Tim's health and wellbeing. He didn't want the excitement of driving the big Deere to overstress Tim‘s ❤.

Nice video. I am so glad I went with a power reverser instead of a hydro. That hydro whine would be aggravating listening to that all day. I could use that 10 ft cutter at many of my customers.

Allergy sufferers should look into getting a Wolf Snout mask. I've been using them every day when cutting for my business for about 5 years. I hardly use a string trimmer or or mower any more without my mask. Cheap, washable and it eliminates a lot of junk in your nose at the end of the day. My PSA for the day.

Another excellent video guys. Almost every video Tim post on his channel, I find very relevant to something I am currently doing , going to be doing or just did something similar.
Absolutely my favorite Chanel!!!!

Today, for example I noticed you didn’t have your I-match on Johnny 5 while you were hooked to your batwing. I think I just figured out why today. I know it’s not in use for a draw bar pull batwing, I just never thought about it being a good idea to remove it when pulling my batwing finish mower .

This is what can happen when you don’t remove it.
I learned this the hard way this afternoon. Lol
Kinda put a damper on my mowing today.
I at least got the front yard done before the pto shaft had a little bad luck. Lol

Cc1999,

Ugh! That had to be an exciting moment or two!

Usually having the 3pt all the way up is sufficient to keep it out of the way.

My I Match is cat 1, and does not work with my cat 2 heavy hitch, or with the large brush mulcher, or my old plow. So, don’t read to much into me not having it attached. In this case, unhooked the plow, then immediately hooked up to flex wing.

Thanks for your kind words, and we appreciate you watching our channel!

Tim
When I was pulling it with my 4 series machines the 3pt lever was on the inside of the hydraulic lever and I had lowered it accidently a time or two and marred up the plastic cover but not done any real damage.
I have a cat 1 with the reducer bushings on the 5M that is pulling the batwing. I also have Kenny's tool boxes on there which I find incredibly handy for keeping all sorts of hitching tools, rags, gloves, hitch pins etc. etc. So I hate to take it off for that reason alone.

Now with both of my 5115Ms they have that electronic 3pt hitch control, which has a lock position to lock it all the way up out of the way like you were thinking as well as I was thinking the same thing that if it was all the way up it would not cause a problem.

The last 3 times I mowed with it were all with one of 5115Ms seen with it in the pics earlier.
What I have known all along is that 3pt hitches will creep down or settle, however with about any other tractor I have ever owned or operated, soon as you fire up the tractor provided the lever or 3pt control is in the all the way up position the hitch will return to that position once the tractor is running.

Apparently that is not how this electronic hitch works.
It was still in the lock up position on the control panel when I pulled it back in the barn with the broken shaft. I noticed pretty quick that it had gotten into the hitch and cut it off. I started it back up the hitch did not move, I hit the outside fender control and it came up another 5-6 inches.

So another lessoned learned is that cab control does not return it all the way up even if it set all the way up on the control it does not return it all the way up like a normal tractor does.

Which I guess this is normal for this type of control found in some of the the 5Ms .
I went and tested it out on my other 5115M, same exact deal there too.

After spending the morning on the phone with my Deere dealer and looked up the local woods dealer since my FM1017R is Woods TBW204 Woods part number is 1021100 $875 and the Deere part number is 5WP1021100 $1065 .
It's a $200 cheaper from woods and they have one in the Woods DC, Deere didn't have one in any of their DCs
So I ordered one from Woods. I may take the old one into a repair shop I was told about this morning and see if they can repair it for a spare.
