I just installed the 3 hooks on my heavy duty skid steer bucket. The double wall construction made it necessary for me to weld them on. I haven't struck an arc for a few years. I have an Emerson stick welder that was ancient when I bought it nearly 30 years ago. It took me a little while, but I got the hang of it again. I used 1/8" 6011 rod. The one challenge was that the flat area on top of the bucket is 2 inches wide, but formed with a radius. Ken's hooks have a 2.125" plate. So, with the radius, I had a big gap to fill. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It took 4 passes to fill the radius's, and with plug welding the bolt holes, I don't think it will be going anywhere. I'm anxious to put them to work. Good product:good2:

Why did you weld them on backwards? :unknown:

Seriously, that is a fine job! Thanks for posting the pictures!

FYI: I will have plain, un-welded hooks and plates available for sale as well very soon:thumbup1gif:
