Has anybody tried repairing cracks/cuts in the bottom of a 1025r fuel tank? If so, what have you had success with? Also, I'm not able to shift the high/low range lever out of the selected range until the tractor is shut off. Help

I can't help with the fuel tank repair but...

Are you saying you can't move the Hi/Lo range lever until the tractor is stopped or the engine is stopped?

The transmission uses straight cut gears so you will typically be unable to move the Hi/Lo lever if there is ANY drag at all on the drive train. If you try to move the lever while in motion you will get lots of gear grinding.

With the engine running, if the lever is hard to move press down on the forward or reverse pedal slightly to take the weight off the gears, press down on the brake and then see if the lever will move.

You can have the same problem moving it from neutral to Hi/Lo and again, toughing the forward or reverse pedal will usually allow it to slip right in.

Fuel tank is ABS(?) Plastic...… Just replace it. Don't think it's repairable. As far as shifting between ranges, Try throttling down and stop the tractor's forward or reverse movement first, then shift to neutral. Worth a try as these are Hydraulic drivetrains. Oh, and, put foot on the brake when shifting and off the drive pedals.
