Leaky loader line question.

3013 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  sbussell
One of the hydro lines on my 2320 200cx loader is leaking. It's the front fitting on the left lift cylider.
A couple weeks ago I was scraping snow off the driveway and notice hydro fluid coming out of the
fitting. It was pretty loose and I tightened it and thought it was fine. Was working the tractor
last weekend and it was dripping again. Tried to tighten it a little more and it seems to leak
more the more I tighten it.
Could I have damaged the fitting or messed up the o-ring? Only about 11 hours on the tractor
and loader. Thanks.

Those are called ORFC connections/fitting, stands for O Ring Face Seal.

You either have a cut/nicked O-ring or possibly its even missing. Could even be some dirt in there...take it apart and have a look-see.

Or at 11 hours make it you dealers problem.

Thanks Kenny. I'll pull it apart and see what's up with the o-ring.
Fixed. The o-ring was eroded on one side and causing the leak. Parts guy at the dealer said it can be caused by dirt under the o-ring and the hydraulic pressure will eat away at the rubber.
Only cost $1.07 to fix. The dealer I purchased from wanted $90 to come out and look at it or a $180 round trip to service it at their shop.
Thanks Kenny, you saved me $$$.
Great news SB. I can't believe at 11 hours that wanted to charge you that much! They at least should have just given you the O-ring...

Totally agree Kenny. Just before my warranty was up the dealer sent a tech out to our place to run our 2320 for a couple hrs as I was not happy with the loader lifting power. ANd they came out a couple times and picked it up as well as dropped off for free over that 2 years and we live 20 minutes out of town.

It is good that the fix was simple though in this case.
The dealer I purchased from is 30 miles away, but they still could have made an effort. I purchased the o-rings from a closer dealer, about 8 miles away and sent email to the service manager that I was all set. Still have yet to see a response.
