The days are getting shorter, the chores take longer and, oh, I’m tired of mowing in the dark so I brought the daylight to night.

This is is a 72W, 7200lm, 5K light bar that was made for a truck. I mounted it on a board, attached it through the existing holes on the 997s top plate, ran (tie wrapped) the plug and play wiring harness back to the battery, connected the on/off switch and was done in 20 minutes. Total cost was $70.

The picture with the off/on comparison was taken about approximately 75’ away from the house. The light is only 16” long, so it does spot in the middle a bit but despite mounting it low, I can see a 30’ wide swath, which is all I need. I can see 100’ or more depth wise. What I really like about it is that I can clearly see my cut path, something I couldn’t do 30 minutes after sunset. I no longer get up in the morning and wonder how I missed a 5’ wise swath.

Easy, effective, inexpensive light solution. I bought the light bar at a Rural King but any light bar from any store would be effective, just make sure you’re buying good chips such as Cree or Lumiled (Philips). You get what you pay for with LED.

Have 4, two on front and two on ROP, 10,000 Lumen total light output and only draws 10 Amps.

Well that's what I would call light up your way. Nice,
Just a question I hope you don't mow your lawn slow. If so would the bug come at the light.

I fly during the day but slow down a bit at night. I do know my property but still, you never know. As far as bugs go, it’s not as bad as you would think. It is a little freaky when a big moth flashes by, right i front of the light. Almost like lightning. Other than that, they don’t bother me a lot.
