Welcome to GTT.

Maybe.
When you do, make certain the ROPS is in the raised position and pined; and your seat belt is latched.

Have someone video the process.

At least you have jacks. Folks trying without them end up with interesting results. Big thing is you don’t want it to walk on you. So even with jacks tires need to be chalked.

Was just thing chocking wheels and building 4drop legs. Put weight on back two then raising the front just a little but still have weight on wheels. I wasn’t sure if the trailer would want to slid and bend the drop legs.
Yes.
It will want to slide but if your drop legs have skids they might not bend. It's certainly not a good practice to load without being hooked up but possibly can be done. I agree to have your rops up and seat belt fastened in case the worst happens.

Yes it can be done. My trailer has jacks n the rear of it that are capable of lifting the tires up off the ground so the chances of it rolling away is slim.

Drop legs are gonna be a pita.

Jacks on all 4 corners...And good ones not HF swing mounts. I'd use the bigger weld on units.
Their roughly 2 1/2" square with a pined leg and big pad on bottom. Crank handle is on side vs. top.
Got a set on my Hydro crane trailer and they work nice.

It can be done, Loading an excavator is a whole different ball game. Why so different @ the same weight IDK.
Perhaps some Matimatical wizard here can explain why but Excavator will move truck & trailer a good bit with truck in park and brake set. Mini EX is only 4K.

Focussed determination.

Back when I was a kid I learned to put the truck in 4wd when loading loading skid steers on trailers that didn’t have some type of support legs on jack on the rear of the trailer. As the rear wheels would get lifted off the ground allowing truck and trailer to roll away. With the truck locked in 4wd and truck in gear the front wheels will provide braking . Not sure if this will work with all modern 4wd systems.

I had two screw-type tongue jacks welded to either side of my dovetail trailer, near the end of the ramp. They swing up or remove when not needed. I can easily load my 2520 with loader and something on the 3-point lift without the trailer being connected to the tow vehicle. The tongue jack and rear jacks are stable, as a triangle, and have the trailer wheels to assist in stability. To be safe, do it on level ground and/or chock the wheels.

I do that when loading my tractor and highly recommend it. You don't want any tires slipping when loading or unloading.
