Finally got a chance to try my new Frontier TR2058 seeder out today .

100ft in it started smoking .
Didn’t come with a manual. I have not been able to find one on Deere’s website either. Smoke was coming from here , where the PTO shaft ties into the Implement . I am guessing there may be a clutch or a brake in there . Smelt like Burt brakes after.
Seeeder did appear to be functioning and slicing the ground and feeding seed.
I am guessing there was not a proper dealer setup done . So I am now trying to find a manual so I can go through it myself.

On page 21 it talks about adjusting the slip clutch.

I just Googled Frontier TR2058, and it was the first hit to come up.

Just what I was looking for.
I had went to the Deere website, I thought they had their manuals posted there. Apparently not!
Apparently good ole google is the best choice to find Deere manuals.

yep.
I was thinking I was going to have to figure out who made it for frontier and track down their website to find the manual.

i think I am going to ditch that plastic cover over the slip clutch. That way I have a better view of what is happening and can adjust it much easier.
It’s already falling off anyway as seen in the pic I had posted Yesterday.
It has seen a total of maybe 1 min use. Lol
