Hi all, first question from a newbee. I have just purchased a 1999 lt 155. Should this have a voltage regulator. There is a place for it on the flywheel cover but it has been covered up. The wires from the stator go straight to a harness then on to the starter coil. It is a kohler cv15s engine. Is there a diode that I am missing or does it just not have a regulator. Thanks.

I know nothing about your question, unfortunately, but wanted to say...

The original style is sans regulator, 3A design rated. There is a 15A with regulator replacement. Frequent starting and stopping will drain the battery fast so they made a wall charger kit also to supplement charging and maintain the battery.
