My John Deere LT155 will not restart after it has been ran for a while. If you let it sit an hour (or more) it fires right up and mows fine.

Welcome.

Could it be vapor lock? I'll admit diagnosing blasted carbureted engines is not my forte. I know my L-130 can be cranky sometimes depending on ambient vs engine temperature and choke/throttle position.

Sounds like it could be a bad coil, if you have a heat gun, when the engine starts warm the coil and see if the engine stops, also check if the gas cap vent is plugged.
