I finished mowing last week and put the mower in the garage. A couple of hours later I noticed a large puddle of coolant under the tractor. The coolant reservoir is empty, but the coolant level in the radiator is fine. Does this mean I have a leak in the reservoir? Any other places I should check?

That would be the first thing to look at. It may have split or has a hole rubbed through. Would have to be at the bottom to completely drain the reservoir. Leaks at the three hoses or coolant pump would probably still be leaking at least until the radiator was empty.
Let us know what you find.

You can borrow a coolant system pressure tester from one of the parts places. Take your radiator cap with you to make sure the tester will fit. Pressurize the system and check for leaks. It's the only sure way to find the leak.
