We've been having issues with the pto on our 2001 LX277. Smoke started pouring out of the pto, and the mower stalled shortly after. The mower would not start even with the pto removed

We found that the fuel solenoid on the bottom of the carb was bad, so we replaced it and had to run a switch to it to get it to work. Now the mower runs great

We replaced the pto, but it would not turn on with the factory switch. So we ran a separate switch for that too. It worked fine for a couple months, but then the pto got smoked out again. We returned it under warranty and got a new one. That one worked fine for a few months, and then went bad.

We are now on to our 3rd replacement pto. It is working fine right now, but I know there is something electrically going on that is making them fail. Do you guys have any idea what it could be? Thanks
